Slouching Towards SingaporeEssay, film review
For the Asian Film Archive’s annual Singapore Shorts programme, I was commissioned to write an essay response about Nelson Yeo’s Plastic Sonata and Jonathan Choo’s Chen Family Awards. An obvious play on Joan Didion’s essay/essay collection “Slouching Towards Bethlehem”, I relocated her critques on the decay of the hippie era onto Singapore’s filmic language.

Read about it on the Asian Film Archive’s website
